Mitsuo Oura, 95, of Captain Cook died April 19, 2013, at his residence. Born July 17, 1917, in Captain Cook, he was a retired business agent for Carpenter’s Union No. 745, a veteran of the U.S. Army, Company D, 100th Battalion and member of Wallace Kumiai, Kumamoto Kenjin Kai and Kona Hongwanji Mission.

Friends may call at 4 p.m. May 10 at Kona Hongwanji Mission in Kealakekua for a 5 p.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

He is survived by sons, Gary (Karen) Oura of Wailuku, Maui, Mort Oura of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Laraine Oura of Captain Cook, Roxanne (Rodney) Hironaka of Mililani, Oahu; sisters, Joyce Tengan of Honolulu, Jane (Mel) Pendergast of California; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
